interesting note from the comments section on gothamist:
"As long as you, or someone you know isn't in the gang D.D.P. (Dominicans Don't Play) then you will not get stabbed. In all recent readings and reports (circa 2006) the majority, if not all Trinitarios related stabbings have been against rival gangs.
Word to the wise: If you don't want to get in to trouble, or stabbed then stay away from Dominican Flag Colored clothing and don't act cute by throwing up 7s. If you heed my advice then you can just sit in the air conditioned bars and drink Pabst without a care in the world.
However, if you are looking to join Trinitarios, D.D.P. or even Netas you can find members simply by entering the gang names in any Youtube or Myspace search field. It's good to see they are keeping their illegal activities secret. Trinitarios don't care what color or creed you are, Anyone can join! So they have that going for them, which is nice."
